• About Paradise Adventures

  • "My name is Kurt Nunnenkamp, I was born and raised near Altoona, Kansas and have been an avid sportsman all of my life.  My brother, two sisters and I grew up on the farm and my brother and I are still working the farm as of this day.  We have hunted and fished for everything possible in this area ever since we were able to carry a gun or cast a line."

  • As farmers, we are able to observe all the wildlife in the area all year ‘round, from immediately stopping the tractor with a covey of quail chicks around us, to picking up a shed antler just before running over it.  My wife, Michele and I started Paradise Quail Hunting in 1985 and were very successful. In fact we were so busy that we partnered up with my brother, Mike, in the hunting business also. We now call it, Paradise Adventures Inc.

Well folks, I am now getting ready to begin our 32nd year, and things just couldn’t be better.  Our huge list of friends from all over the U.S. and other countries just keeps getting bigger and bigger.  We have taken hundreds and hundreds of people and many have been coming back for a long time.  In fact, some have been coming for up to 15 years.  I guess we must be doing something right.  That something is having a GOOD TIME, plus getting the game that they are after.  But remember, this is fair chase hunting, and sometimes that does mean going home empty handed.  That is why having a good time no matter what, is so important.

Our camp house has grown a lot over the years.  When we started my parents kept our quail hunting clients at their house, kind of like a bed and breakfast.  Now we have our own lodge, which we prefer to call, our camp house that can accommodate up to 28 people. There are over 200 acres where the house sets and we lease and own another 15 to 20 thousand acres of premiere private hunting territory.

At Paradise we have the best guides in the country to help us in any situation that comes up and we also have one of the best cooks a man can find either side of the Mississippi.  Which means, you probably don’t want to mention anything about a diet when you’re here, because, there will be plenty of good home cooked meals and desserts awaiting your arrival after a hard day in the woods. OH Yeah, its hard, but somebody’s got’ a do it.

So come on out and join the fun with Mike and I and the gang here at Paradise Adventures.  We can’t wait to take you on one of our exciting hunting adventures or just have you stay at our wonderful lodge. Look the site over good and click on the things that interest you the most. You won’t be sorry you did. We sure hope to hear from you soon.

And Hey, Thanks for your time.

    Sincerely yours,

    Kurt Nunnenkamp
